Weekend, yay!

You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this weekend! I need a few days under a blanket with hot chocoa and a good movie after a week of migraines between work.

First, I'd like to show you yesterday/todays manicure. I wanted to try out GOSH Vanilla Ice on top of black, and I was NOT disappointed about the outcome! Sadly, I don't have a picture of Vanilla Ice, but it's an effect polish. Very sheer. Here's the result on my nails ~

And with flash for extra bling!

I'm sorry about the horrible chip in my index finger, that's how my nails look after a day of work. I took these pics right before I made a new manicure, so it's not like I walk around with chips all over my nails. :)

My fiancé texted me while I was at work today, saying that a package from the UK had arrived... It's my ASOS Beauty Sale haul, yay!! I was SO excited when I found out they had reduced most of the nail polishes I had been eyeing last time I ordered, but decided against. Check out what I got!

ASOS Beauty Sale haul

The most exciting was OPI Absolutely Alice ~ 50 dkr (about 5£), OMG!! To bad they didn't have Mad as a Hatter, but at least I got the one I wanted the most! ♥ ♥ ♥ And I was pretty lucky to get it, since it sold out really quickly. It's my first OPI polish, but I have more on the way :)

Of course I had to try out Absolutely Alice right away... I decided to go with a blue base, so I didn't have to use as many layers of AA (it's a pain to remove, and I want the bottle to last longer LOL).

I used GOSH Gypsy Blue as base (a colour too beautiful to use as a base, but I lack blues in this colour), here's a picture ~

And with Absolutely Alice on top ~

And a few extra shots because this colour is so beautiful ~

Flash. It makes the glitter more see-through

What can I say about this polish? I love it! ♥ I would wear it all the time if it weren't for all the other gorgeous nail polishes out there ;) I think 1 coat base and 1 coat glitter is enough for coverage, but if you check out the picture with flash it is see-through. I think it's because the flash washes out a lot of the glitter. Nothing you see in real life!

Gotta run, wanna watch a movie and enjoy my weekend! Have fun girls ♥

Update on yesterdays mani!

I had to stay home today because of a migraine, so my mani from yesterday is still looking great (I had to find one positive thing about being in bed all day). I'm feeling a little better now, and I try to keep myself out of bed until tonight so I can get a good nights sleep.

Models Own Purple Grey is said to be a good, shimmerless dupe of Chanels' Paradoxal, I ordered it so I could use it as an "everyday Chanel". I love Paradoxal, but I won't allow myself to wear it for work when it chips within a few hours. With the discovery of Barry M's exact dupe, Dusky Mauve (thanks to the sweet blogger here), Purple Grey is not as popular anymore I think - but it's a great dupe if you don't want shimmer.

I decided to swatch my new purple grey's I got yesterday, as they look very similar in the bottle. And they proved to be dupes! Check it out ~

I also did some quick stamping to my Purple Grey nails..

I used a fake image plate I bought on Ebay, I can take a few pictures if you'd like to see them (I bought 8 in total) and I used GOSHs Silky Mint for stamping. I love the subtle mint it is on a dark base :)

small nail polish haul + homemade bracelets

Hey! I want to show you what I got today!

My new polishes from Depend, BarryM, Models Own & ASOS Paint

All polishes except the one from Depend is from ASOS - I have another package coming from them, including a few very popular brands I'm excited to try out! My wallet isn't pleased, LOL! I couldn't help but buy they cute yellow shimmer when I was shopping today - along with this set from H&M ~

I should've taken it out of the plastic box, LOL! Glare ohoy!

I tested the cuticle cream today, and it has a great consistence.. but if you don't like the smell of perfume pear, it's not for you. I do like it, though!

I also wanted to show you something I've made - bracelets! I've made bracelets like these for a long time, I love doing anything creative and fun - so making jewellery is very me ;) These past weeks I have been focusing on getting and making bracelets that go well with my fav nail polish shades - mint green, aqua and ...that purple grey? Paradoxal colour, lol. My english isn't that great.

Homemade bracelets made to suit my fav polish shades!
It takes quite a while to find the perfect beads, as I'm very picky - I use a blend of stone, glass, plastic beads. I hope you like them!

Not as fancy, but they work great with a casual outfit!

And I had to try out Models Own Purple Grey today. It was dark before I could take pictures, so the colour is off on these pics. I just know my nails are chipped when I get home from work tomorrow, so I can't take any better pics :( The picture featuring bracelets shows the colour pretty accurate.
